Privacy Policy

DiscPiff ("the bot") lets people search and browse the Internet Archive's public hiphopmixtapes collection. This policy explains what it does and does not collect.

What we store

The bare minimum needed to work:

• Feed subscriptions. When a server admin runs /setfeed, we save that server's ID and the chosen channel's ID so the bot knows where to post new-mixtape announcements. /unsetfeed deletes this immediately.

That's the entire dataset. It is never sold, shared, or used for anything beyond delivering the feed.

What we do NOT store

• We do not read, log, or store the contents of your messages.
• We do not store usernames, user IDs, or profile data.
• We do not track what you search for or which mixtapes you open.
• We use no Discord privileged intents (including Message Content).

Temporary, in-memory data

To respect the Internet Archive's servers, the bot briefly keeps a short-lived cache of API responses and per-user cooldown timers in memory only — never written to disk, cleared on restart.

Data retention & removal

Feed subscriptions persist until an admin runs /unsetfeed, removes the bot, or the bot loses channel access (cleaned up automatically). For deletion requests or any privacy question, contact us below.

Children

The bot is not directed at children under 13, in line with Discord's minimum-age requirement.
